Save on SOBCon08 Travel: Carpool, Lodging Sharing Tips

If you’re planning to attend SOBCon08 this year and would like to split the costs of a drive, a hotel room or other form of travel or lodging, we want to help you out.
For example, you may be in Iowa. So are quite a few other people who are planning to come to SOBCon this year. Maybe you’d like to drive to Chicago for the conference but don’t want to do it alone.
Or perhaps you’d like to save on hotel costs and wouldn’t mind sharing a room and its bill with another SOBCon attendee.
Here’s what you should do.
First, talk to Karen Hanrahan. You can call Karen at 708.482.0678 or email Karen directly. She has volunteered to coordinate this effort.
Second, go to this SOBCon 2008 wiki, add yourself to the list and see if anyone else on it has a request that matches yours.
Third, if you have any questions or suggestions whatsoever, please leave a comment below or contact the SOBCon support team.
Here’s to a wonderful conference for all who can make it. We hope to make getting there and staying there as easy and enjoyable as possible.
Just want to let you know that the Club Quarters on Whacker no longer has rooms. The one on 111 W. Adams has rooms for $159 but it’s a bit of a walk. I got a room at the Courtyard Marriott River North, only a few blocks away from the Summit Center for $125 via Priceline. Free Internet access too!
Can’t wait to see old friends and meet new ones.
