Thanks for sharing Susan here with the rest of the SOBCon community. She is gone but NEVER forgotten. Genuine smiles and insights like hers can live on.

I first learned of her passing from one of Phil Gerbyshak's newsletters. At first seeing her photo made me smile and laugh, remembering the great afternoon we all had in Chicago before SOBCon08 started.

Then the smile vanished when I realized what happened. I couldn't believe it.

The photo above is when she and I were in the bookstore and I was showing her a page out of "Chicken Soup for the College Soul" that had published my Wall Street story. She was so excited as you could tell.

She will be missed. Phil said she would not have wanted us to be sad but to be celebrating her life. That's the kind of person she was and so I will move through the day with a smile on my face, remembering hers.

Thanks for letting me share.

What a shock. I remember having lunch with Susan before SOBCon 08 started along with a whole group of us --- the world is less because she is gone. She will be missed!

A few lunches and a few conversations -- I felt as if I had known her forever. What a terrible loss.

Oh my gosh, this is quite a shock. Susan and I sat down and had a long conversation at SOBCon and I remember my thoughts afterwards, "Wow, this is a gal who has accomplished so much and she really embraces life!"

My heart goes out to her family.
